Visual Vlorë Journal: CITY
View the city of Vlorë, Albania through my photos. I look at the rhythm of this city through my own nostalgic lens.
A decision to relocate isn't just made on a spreadsheet. It’s found in how a place and people make you feel. I walked all around the city of Vlorë, Albania to capture the large and small of this place.
The old town has a highly colorful street full of bright restaurants and cafes. I was trying to catch the rhythm of the tourists against sleepy dogs.

If you get up early the reward is fewer people and the sun streaming down the streets casting long shadows. You never know what you're going to spot when looking amongst the faded buildings.

Early morning (or evening) is a great time to wander around the Kuzum Baba monestary.

There is no stronger theme in Vlorë than independence,

The port is taking on a very different shape with the development of a marina.

Vlorë is undergoing a lot of developments and could look quite different in a few years. It's a place on the up!

When we consider another life abroad, what we're really asking is: What will my new 'ordinary' feel like? Can I see myself in these pictures?
